I have just learned of a thing called a transdermal nicotine patch which, apparently, promises to deliver nicotine directly to the blood by way of a little sticky patch.
I thought someone said these are intended to aid people in an effort to stop smoking tobacco but I can't see why that should be necessary; the maintenance of addiction being made so very convenient by these handy gadgets.
I hope they'll be coming out with alcohol patches before too much longer.
