The Ministry of Tolerance, Babies

Citing insufficient diversity in the names biological parents are choosing for their offspring, The Ministry of Tolerance, Office of Social Uniformity Directorate, has proposed a plan to see the naming of babies turned over to bureaucrats.

The process, to be decided by preference then lottery, will ensure Suitable Diversity of Official Multiculturalism. Once the yearly quota for a name is filled it will be listed as out of stock for any remaining babies born in that calendar year. Family names will remain, for the time being, primarily the choice of parents, where judged suitable.

Thus though parents may apply for a Charles Smith or a John MacGillivray they may possibly receive a DeShawn Tyrell Brocklesby-Throckmorton or a Ding Thuan Viet VanBurren.
