Oh, and by the way...

...I'm not dead or anything. I'll post a bit more in the next few weeks. Until I get to it, don't eat any organic food, and if you are a woman, have a baby at home if you can manage it, and don't vote.

That is, medicalized birth, women's suffrage, and organic food are each and all of the Devil.

whats the matter with organic food?
how can you be opposed to medicalised births but not opposed to medicalised foods ?

Maybe I'm using different criteria than you are. Wait for the post. And what's this? You're protesting in favour of bug-ridden veggies but not a peep for woman's suffrage? Interesting, James. Interesting.

I'm not altogether sure what you mean by women's suffrage. the suffering of women? or women's votes.. so how can votes for women be of the Devil? Does your goodly wife know you think that, if you do? interesting, John, interesting.

OK James,

a quick lesson in English.

"Suffrage": n. Vote, approval or consent expressed by voting; the right of voting in political elections...

"Sufferance": (Archaic) submissiveness; tacit consent, permission or toleration implied by abstinence from objection.

"Suffer": v.t. & i. - Undergo, experience, be subjected to (pain, loss, grief, defeat, change, punishment, wrong &tc.)

There is no such word as "Sufferage."

all from Concise Oxford English Dictionary 1938.

Until 1920/19th Amendment, women did not vote in the US. Let's review all the good women's suffrage has wrought: The Great Deprsssion, FDR, WWII, Cold War, Korea (tie), JFK, Cuban missile crisis, civil wrongs against white people, Vietnam (loss), abortion, Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, Waco, 9-11, etc. I understand that correlation is not causation.

John,

Of course women shouldn't vote, but the the great majority of men shouldn't either! I'm a lot more concerned with your attack on the organic foods. A great deal of the original impetus for the movement was from conservative Catholics rebelling against the excesses of Calvinist capitalism and the resultant adulteration of food.

Top Jovan-Marya:
in your profile you call yourself a traditional Catholic. You also, stupidly, state an astrological sign. If you knoew anything about your Catholic Faith, you will know that Astrology and all forms of teh Occult are forbidden. We do not have or accept signs of the Zodiac. I advise you to amend your profile as it is misleading (I hope) and, in place of your so-called 'star sign' put "the sign of the Cross".

James - it might interest you to note that blogger puts the astrological sign in your profile automatically. Its not an option.

I agree its stupid, but i just glaze over it, and really don't pay attention to it. Its on my profile too, but I certainly would not choose to have it there.

petrus - actually...that's not true.
i've just set up a blog of my own, to test your theory. I found out that if you don't put in any birth date, then it doesn;t give you an occultic sign. there...

I will never again look at this page however i just have a few comments. As a christian you do not sound compassionate nor at all Christlike. I do not understand how you people could still be of the thought that women should not vote. I am equally human and my thoughts and opinions just as valuable as any man's. My Maker has given me my value just has She gives you yours. Jesus cared for and showed compassion and commanded that we do the same. Your words leak with hate and spite and I feel bad for you. I hope that you learn to see the beauty and divinity in equality. I will think of you and wish Grace and Peace upon you.
